Card Games

Below is a selection of some of the Card Games that we stock. There are many more and we are always happy to discuss and show you the wide variety available.

We have a large space available with tables, chairs and other facilities if you want to come down with a friend and have a card game over lunch. If you want a more organised play event we run Magic the Gathering nights often as well as Pokemon card games every Sunday. Check out our Events page for what Events will be happening soon in store.

Magic The Gathering

In the game, you play the role of a planeswalker—a powerful wizard who fights other planeswalkers for glory, knowledge, and conquest. You will build your own deck, combining the five different colours of mana and the wide variety of spells and creatures you can cast to overcome your opponent.

Magic is a very strategic game. As new sets release, you will need to collect cards and trade with others to be able to adapt your decks and strategies.

We hold Friday Night Magic events in the store from 6pm, upstairs in our gaming space.

Yu-Gi-Oh!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game is a collectible card game based on the hit TV series' own collectible card game.

Players each have 8000 Life Points, and the last player with those points remaining is the winner. Players summon (play) monsters (cards) to the play area, and must sacrifice (discard) the weaker monsters to summon stronger monsters. Magic and trap cards are played to boost your monsters, weaken your opponent's monsters, and otherwise give yourself an advantage.

We have a Yu-Gi-Oh group that meets every Tuesday, from 6pm, upstairs in our gaming space.

Pokémon

Players assume the role of a Pokémon trainer and use their Pokémon to battle their opponent’s. Trainers can also rely on the assistance of their items and supporters, or even use the battlefield to their advantage. Can you overcome your opponent’s team before you run out of resources or Pokémon?

We hold a regular Pokémon League every Sunday, from 2-6pm, upstairs in our gaming space.

Digimon

Based on the long-running Digimon franchise, this game uses a unique memory mechanic. As you summon Digimon into play, Digivolve them into stronger forms, and play Option cards to allow you to perform special effects, you will spend memory to do so. The more memory you spend, the more your opponent will have available to them on their turn.

We hold a regular Digimon group on Thursday evenings from 6pm, upstairs in our gaming space.
